“Overall, a great experience. It was overlooking the river with local markets nearby. Breakfast was great with many options to suit western taste buds .”
“I'm not staying in the hotel but you can use the swimming pool for only 50k dong per person and it is perfect, very quiet and clean with views to the river. They even brought us towels. Very kind staff at reception.”
“Hotel accommodation - no problem. View of river. Minus 1 start due to location of the surrounding area. Swallow noises - no problem as they are silent after dusk. I can't get a good night sleep due to human singing karaoke till 1-2am which penetrated into the room. The strong fishy smell as you need to pass through the market to get here. Early morning boat motor sound also disturbed my sleep.”
“I did not stay here, but I just wanted to acknowledge the kindness of the staff. We were dropped in front of this hotel by the shuttle from the bus company. The driver would not take us to our hotel. We're not sure why. However, the staff helped us to get a taxi and gave us water. They were very friendly and helpful. Thank you!”
“If you want luxury then stay here. Really nice hotel with views across the river. Large rooms with comfy beds. At night you can dine outside beside the river. Food is OK but the breakfast is nothing special. While we were eating dinner we were approached by a guy named Mr Cuong who said his brother was the manager. He offered to help us get our onward tickets but we said that we already had them. This caused him to loose interest so we quickly assumed that perhaps he was telling porkies. This was later verified as we asked another travel agent just along the road. Sorry River Hotel manager, I had to deduct 1 star because of Mr Cuong. Maybe we are not the 1st people he tried to scam.”
“It’s a clean little hotel by Ha Tien river. The view is fantastic and conveniently close to every shops and markets in town. It’s also relatively cheap to stay and rest for the night.”
“Good hotel with a very nice view, rooms are large and comfortable. Good beds, bathroom could be a little better. Breakfast was very good too, however the staff did not speak English which was a bit annoying.”
“The best hotel of this area with a lovely pool and offering a scrumptious breakfast. Rooms are all luxury with fantastic beds and linen and perfectly clean. Everything works! On a negative note: Unfortunately not many western tourists stop over in Ha Tien which is the ferry cross over point to Phu Quoc. Nearby beach not bad but water stays shallow for a long way in and the actual beach is extremely narrow with dark brown sand. But some nice hotels at Mui Sai overlooking the ocean as well, for those who simply want to relax for a few days. There are tour excursions to nearby islands but rather expensive unless part of a larger group.”
